Cybercrime and cyber security is the trending topic which is all over the internet. Cybercrime and cyber security go hand in hand. Cybercrime are the criminal activity carried by means of computer, other electronic devices and internet. Cyber security is the protection from cybercrime in cyber space. Cyber security has become more critical because as more devices are connected to the internet. So, it becomes important to secure data, network, devices, system in cyber world.
Cyber security plays and important role in going phase of technology where protecting databases, critical information, infrastructure over the internet becomes essential. According to a survey cyber risk can be distinguished under
Cyber Crime: conducted by an individual against some particular individual, group or an organization
Cyber War: war among nations in order to create disruption and extract critical information
Cyber Terror: an organization working to bring disruption in cyber space for everyone over the internet
Government, important IT institution and responsible organization like cyber peace foundation, council of information security have come together to secure cyber space from such ongoing threats of cybercrime. Cybersecurity is essential part of national security in cyber space it is a shared responsibility.

Internet is most unregulated and cybercrimes has become extremely simple and cheap. A single threat in a system could collapse the whole network it’s a part of. Every month number of malicious malware and bugs are being reported by leading giants like Microsoft. Cybercrime are mostly carried out by numerous of attacks available which fall under the category of malwares.
Types of malwares
Viruses are piece of code that can replicate itself and spread from one system to other it gains access, steal, modify or corrupt files in the targeted computer.
Worms: worms are self-replicating. Worms looks for the loopholes/vulnerabilities and report to the worm author about its discovery. The attacker exploits that weakness.
Spyware: spyware or adware are just like spy which sit your computer to collection information without being caught. It gets installed through malicious links or attachments.
Trojan: Trojans are software program which gets installed after human interaction it seems to perform other function but actually acts as something else. It basically creates the backdoor in the system by which information gets stolen.
Then there are attack vectors which tells attacker how to harness the information or to infect the system with malware such as man in the middle attack, Phishing, pharming and social engineering.
Thus, developing cybersecurity strategies are vital in fight against cyber threats. Developing technical, legal system and educating user to reduce to avoid becoming a victim of cyber threat could reduce cybercrime.
